Building The Bridge Between Worlds

My Methodology

I speak the language of founders, investors, users, and engineers, creating alignment where vision and execution thrive. Reduce risk before capital, time, or credibility is spent. Each stage answers a different question that is faced when turning ideas into real products.

1

Understand the Idea

Workshops and discussions to extract every detail and gain a clear understanding of the project's core idea and requirements.

2

Design Prototype

Transform the journeys into interactive prototypes that illustrate key screens and user flows. This allows for easy feedback and iteration.

3

Technical Assessment

Development experts review the prototype and journey documentation. They recommend the best technologies and provide an initial development estimate.

4

Prioritisation & Roadmap

Scope the first release and a phased plan for additional features based on your business needs and capacity.

5

Execution

Where strategy meets reality. The focus shifts from defining what to build to ensuring the right things are delivered.

1

Understand the Idea

This stage turns abstract concepts into clear documentation. Through structured workshops, we extract every critical detail about your vision.

My Approach

I facilitate intensive video workshops with you and key stakeholders to deeply understand the product vision. Using collaborative exercises, I map out the complete service experience, including user needs, business goals, operational workflows, and data transformations. This isn't about capturing what you think you want, it is about uncovering what actually needs to exist and why.

I document the entire journey as a service blueprint (typically 15–20 core steps) showing how users interact with your product, what happens behind the scenes, and how data flows through the system. I also create a medium-fidelity design prototype to make abstract ideas tangible, allowing you to visualise and stress-test the concept before any development begins.

2

Design Prototype

From Journey to Screens: I create refined visual representations that allow you to see, interact with, and iterate on your product before any code is written.

My Approach

I take the Service Blueprint and journey documentation from Stage 1 and translate them into detailed, interactive prototypes. Working iteratively, I design the key screens and user flows, ensuring every interaction aligns with user needs and business objectives.

The prototype evolves through feedback cycles, allowing you to make critical design decisions efficiently and with confidence. This isn't just about making things look good. It is about validating that the user experience works, that workflows make sense, and that the product will deliver on its promise.

3

Technical Assessment

Build Assessment: With a clear idea and validated prototype in hand, I bring technical expertise to the table, providing insights into how your product will actually be built.

My Approach

I review the prototype and journey documentation through a technical lens, either working with your existing development team or engaging technical partners. The goal is to translate design and user experience into technical requirements, identify architectural considerations, and provide realistic estimates for development effort.

This stage bridges the gap between "what we want to build" and "how we'll actually build it." I help break down the product into buildable components (user stories), validate technical feasibility, identify potential challenges early, and ensure everyone understands the scope and complexity ahead.

4

Prioritisation & Roadmap

Strategic Planning: With a complete understanding of what to build and what it takes, this stage is about making strategic choices. Deciding what to build first and creating a phased approach that delivers value quickly.

My Approach

I facilitate structured prioritisation sessions where we evaluate every feature and user story against clear criteria, typically considering user value, business impact, technical complexity, and strategic importance. Using the visual prototype and technical estimates from previous stages, I help you make informed trade-offs.

The goal is to define a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that delivers genuine value while being achievable within your constraints, then map out subsequent phases that build on that foundation. This isn't about cutting features arbitrarily, it is about sequencing work intelligently so you can launch, learn, and iterate.

5

Execution

Strategy to Life: Execution is where strategy meets reality. My role moves from architect to embedded product leader, guiding delivery, unblocking decisions, and keeping the product anchored to user value and business outcomes.

My Approach

I work alongside your team to turn the roadmap into momentum. This means establishing clear ways of working, maintaining focus on outcomes over outputs, and creating fast feedback loops so learning informs every iteration. I adapt to your team's existing processes or help implement new ones, whether that's Scrum, Kanban, or a hybrid approach.

My role is strategic oversight with tactical engagement, regular check-ins to maintain direction, attendance at key ceremonies when valuable, and availability when decisions need making. I keep the strategic thread intact while staying close enough to delivery to catch misalignment early and course-correct quickly.
